The Synigent Story
Founded in 1991, Synigent Technologies provides consulting, recruiting, and staffing services focused on IT, supply chain, and manufacturing. Our service model includes flexible contract and contract-to-hire options, and direct hire and consulting solutions.
As a result of our process and attention to detail, we experience a very low rate of consultant turnover. A high percentage of our contract-to-hire engagements result in conversions and long-term success. Using the latest in CRM, marketing and social media technology, we continue to grow strong, lasting relationships with consultants and customers across the country.
We use this same technology to stay in touch with our active consultants and potential candidates on an ongoing basis. We have built a database of over 90,000 candidates available for consideration across the country for a multitude of technology needs.

Meet The Owners
Gary Laverdiere, Sr. Managing Partner
Gary joined Synigent in 2020 and became an owner in 2021. He started his career as a machinist for a manufacturing company then transitioned to IT for manufacturing companies in various capacities from computer operations to director. In his last role, he was the Sr. Dir of IT for a large consumer products company. He has vast experience across the IT and supply chain spectrum includes implementing inventory control and ERP systems, M&A due diligence and execution, contract negotiations with managed service providers, designing and implementing security programs, and IT governance, risk, and sontrol programs for public companies.
Gary enjoys working out, biking, hiking, Boston Red Sox, bourbon, and craft brews.
Brent Kannady, Sr. Managing Partner
Brent, one of the founders of Synigent, has spent the vast majority of his career in IT. Prior to starting Synigent, he began his career in sales and business management for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, a Fortune 25 company. He completed his computer science degree and made the move to the IT field. Brent started his career in IT with the North Carolina State Ports Authority, designing and programming international logistics and freight tracking systems before making the move to Reynolds Metals Corporation to support IT corporate systems for the largest division in the company. Currently as a managing partner of Synigent, his primary responsibility is managing the company’s business development activities and assisting with strategic and tactical direction for the firm.
Brent enjoys working out, fly fishing, UNC basketball, Carolina Panther football, SportsCenter, red wines, and dreaming about Wrightsville Beach.
